Encouragement is the Glue that Holds Society Together

So, it has been a while since I posted last and my friend keeps telling me that I need to post, so I decided to listen to her. I started my second semester and it has been pretty great so far! I do still have my newfound confidence but I have found that there is still some fighting that needs to be done. I love my life and love how far past everything I have gotten but there are still rare moment that my mind will take a glimpse at my past mistakes in the last year and a half and drag my thoughts away from the greatness that is in my life right now. These are very small glimpses, so I go back to good thoughts pretty fast, but it’s still there. It always will be, even if I never do anything like I used to do.

Aside from all of that, I wanted to talk about encouragement, because I believe that it is a very important topic. Now, I have always loved giving people nice notes and complimenting them. It made me happy to know that I could brighten their day, even if they didn’t know that it was I who had written the note. I still love to do this but I have been distracted recently and haven’t given out a note in a while. The point is that everyone can use encouragement. Even if someone’s day is going great, it is still nice to hear that someone cares about you or that someone thinks that you look cute today. I believe that the world has gotten so callous and it is hard to compliment people without wanting something in return or saying it either because you are jealous or in a snarky manner. So, I encourage you today, write a nice, tell someone that you love them, buy a friend or stranger coffee, do something. It can be hard to remember that other people are going through things when you are going through your own stuff but sometimes do something nice for someone else can even brighten up your own day. Whatever the reason, so something today for someone else, because everyone you meet has their own story and things that they are going though. Love life and love people! Remember that everyone is perfectly imperfect!
